Women’s and Girls’ football
Our Vision is to:
Invite women into a Christian football community to encourage, share, learn, play and pray together.
Train, equip and support those who want to run women’s football sessions and events
How we do this:
Over the last two years, we have been connecting with and gathering women to start building this community.
We have had funding since 2022 to support the women’s football ministry. This has enabled us to create a specific wellbeing resource for all women to use in their contexts. We have run trainings and have individually supported those who have started projects in their area.
Uganda Trip 2024
In 2024, we ran our first tour, taking 8 people to Uganda in East Africa. We coached football in primary and secondary schools and got to understand a little of the culture and people in the area. However, a big part of the trip was getting to know each other, removing ourselves from our comfort zones, and learning and growing together.
It was a blessing to experience living in a Christian community with other women – it was so encouraging and fun! I was also encouraged in my abilities to come alongside and connect with (younger) people and talk to them about Jesus, and it was also really touching to see the kids’ faith and how grateful they were for us coming. Women’s Football Festival 2025
In March 2025, we ran our first women’s football festival. We gathered together to spend time playing football, learning from each other and praying together.
